I'm Patrick Jenkins the father of Alex and I will attempt to tell you about the descendants of John Joseph Hickmott who was my Mother's grandfather,

John Joseph 1839-1923 married Adelaide Mary Hickmott (nee Nightingale)1850-1932
They had 12 children - seven sons (jewels) and five daughters (fools) as their mother called them.
Adelaide Mary 1872-1907 known as Aunt Poppy who died from inflammation in the glands at Longfield
John George 1874-1963 known as Jack who married Harriet Wallace. They had one daughter Joan who married and who had 3 daughters. He died at Tunbridge Wells
Albert Edward 1875-1951 known as Bert who died at Longfield. He did not marry.
Ethel Edith known as Ettie. 1877-1964 who died in Eastbourne. I remember her very well.
George Frederick (George) 1878-1964.Died at Mayfield, Kent. He married Lily and they had two sons. Peter who married twice and had children and died a couple of years back and John who is married to Helen, They have two children Katherine and Matthew and live just south of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.
Mabel Maud Hickmott 1880-1945 who married Henry Arabin Jones and died at Sidley, East Sussex I will list their descendants later.
Henry Charles 1881-1947 (Henry) who married Ella. He died at Cranbrook. No children.
Peter James 1882-1945. Known as Nim. Died at Longfield.
Dorothy Florence 1884-1963 Known as Doll-Doll. Died at Eastbourne. Again I remember her very well.
Frank Leonard 1881-1916 who was killed in the First World war and who is buried In France. He married and had a son also called Frank. Frank junior married Mignon and after Frank's death Mignon and her two daughters first lived in Melbourne Australia and then moved to Perth. I have no news of that family.
Stanley Harold known as Seppie. 1888-1954. Died in a home in Tunbridge Wells.
Gladys Marjorie known as Dodo. 1894-1934. She died from tuberculosis contracted in South africa. She died at Longfield.

So that is the first generation after John Joseph. The main descendants are from the marriage of Mabel Maud to Henry Arabin Jones ( 1872-1960) my grandparents.
They had four children.
Adelaide Mary Arabin Jones 1911-2002. Known as Pamela. Married Frederick Brian McCormick who died in 1995. Married 6th March 1940 at Longfield.
Lawrence John Percy Arabin Jones 1913-1988.Married Mary Elaine Sykes 1915-1992. Married at St Saviours, Hampstead. London in 1936.
Marjorie Evelyn Pearl Patricia Arabin Jones 1917-. Married Samuel Roberts Jenkins 1918-2000. Married at Longfield.
Gladys Lavinia Rosalind Arabin Jones. Born 1926. Known as Rosalind.Married Roy Leonard Ashby born 1927. Married at Longfield.

Most of my cousins came to celebrate my Mother's 90th birthday at a party in 2007 when my brother Michael and Carol and Rhiannon came over from New Zealand. We are spread around with the family in Ireland, Andrew is in Surrey, Sally in Hampshire. Denise in Dorset, Stephen and Janet in Hertfordshire where my aunt lives. Mike is in New Zealand but Simon my nephew lives in Sydney Australia. My Mother as the oldest surviving member of the family knew Longfield and the house very well and stayed there for long periods and knew John H Seabrook who gave her a wedding present and also knew Iris and Cynthia Sharvelle.
